Mission Statement

The Independence Fire District is committed to providing the highest level of public safety services for our community. We protect lives and property through emergency medical response, fire suppression, disaster management, fire prevention and public education.

 

Vision Statement

It is the vision of the Independence Fire District to be recognized by those we serve, our members, and our community leaders as an organization that:​

• Strives to achieve a level of service that is viewed as a benchmark with the fire service; ​

• Is dedicated to the education of the public in order to enhance life safety;​

• Is a dynamic organization able to adjust to the rapidly changing needs of the community and its citizens; and ​

The Independence Fire District has dedicated professionals who provide Emergency Medical, Fire and Rescue services within the City as well as the Fire District which extends beyond City limits.
