About The Program
Ride time is opened to any EMT, Paramedic or AT Student, as well as Nurse Observers, 911 Dispatchers and Citizen Fire academy participant's. Ride time is allowed between the hours of 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. To Schedule time, click the form below, you will receive a confirmation email once approved. You can also view the Ride Time Calendar below to view availability.
Ride/Observation Time
Student Policies and Procedures
The Independence Fire District allows EMT, Paramedic, and Athletic Training students to ride/observe with active ambulance crews. In order to ride, all personnel riding must abide with the Policies and Procedures listed.
General Observers
The Independence Fire District allows some individuals the opportunity to ride with active ambulance and/or fire units. Individuals must be affiliated with the Kenton County Emergency Communications Center, St. Elizabeth Hospital, or the Independence Citizen's Fire Academy. Other individuals must be approved by the Fire District administrative staff.
Documentation
All students/observers that wish to ride with the Independence Fire District must complete the Confidentiality of Patient Information and Member Verification form as well as the Hold Harmless Agreement.
